Euro 2024 Qualifying Draw Results
Tournament Hosts Germany Qualify Automatically
The UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying draw took place in Festhalle on Sunday 9 October 2022 at 1200 CET. The qualifying tournament, which ran from March to November 2023, saw the top two teams from each of the ten European groups qualify automatically for the tournament finals. Tournament hosts Germany qualified automatically, while the remaining 20 teams were drawn into play-off matches to determine the final three qualifiers.
Play-Off Matches
The play-offs took place in March 2024, with the winners of each semi-final qualifying for the tournament. The semi-final pairings were as follows:
- Scotland (Runner-up, Group B) vs. Ukraine (Winner, Group C)
- Austria (Winner, Group F) vs. Czech Republic (Winner, Group D)
Scotland to Face Spain in Group Stage
Scotland were drawn into Group B, which also includes Spain, Norway, Georgia, and Cyprus. The Scots will face the 2010 FIFA World Cup winners Spain in their opening match on June 14th, 2024. They will also face Norway on June 19th, Georgia on June 23rd, and Cyprus on June 27th. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the round of 16.
Tournament Finals
The UEFA EURO 2024 tournament finals will be held in Germany from June 14th to July 14th, 2024. The final draw will take place in Hamburg on December 2nd, 2023, with the four pots being determined by the UEFA Nations League rankings.
